Prof.(Dr.) A.S. Dhindwal

Prof. (Dr.) A.S. Dhindwal did his B.Sc. (Hons.) Agri. in 1976 and M.Sc. (Ag.) Agronomy in 1978 from HAU, Hisar and Ph.D. from Moscow State University, Moscow in 1986. He has long experience of 37.5 years in research and teaching at CCSHAU, Hisar, He worked as Professor/equivalent from February 2000 to 2016, Professor and Head (Agronomy) CCS HAU, Hisar from 2009 to December 2013. He has taught several undergraduate and postgraduate courses on Agronomy, guided three M.Sc. and four Ph.D. students as Major Advisor. Completed seven projects as Principal and Co-Principal Investigator funded by various agencies, and Nodal officer of Scaling up of Water Productivity in Agriculture 1997-2012. Published ten research and extension bulletins, 10 teaching manuals, 105 original research papers, 52 abstracts, three proceedings, 10 status research reports and 23 popular articles. Organized three workshops, two seminars and six field days; participated in six International and 38 National conferences. Developed nine technologies for improving productivity in agriculture. Member of five scientific societies, Councilor, Indian Society of Agronomy and President, Haryana Agronomist Association, He has been member of various selection committees: UKPSU, Ag. Universities, HRD. After retirement from CCSHAU in 2016 and appointed as a Professor and Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, PDM University Bahadurgarh on 21.8. 2017. Since then, teaching several Agricultural subjects to B.Sc. (Hons.) Agri undergraduate students.
