PDM University enters into Agreement with College of Agriculture Baramati
PDM University (PDMU), Bahadrgarh has entered into an agreement with the prestigious College of Agriculture (COA), Baramati of the Agricultural Development Trust (ADT), Baramati regarding Student Exchange Programme. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in this regard was recently signed by Prof. A K Bakhshi, vice-chancellor, PDM University, Prof Nilesh Nalawade, Principal, COA and Mr. Rajendra Pawar, Chairman, ADT.
Under this MOA, both short term and long term exchange of students of B.Sc. Agriculture programme of PDM University at COA have been envisaged in regard to field projects/practical sessions so as to ensure quality education to the students. There is a provision for the PDMU agriculture students to spend the 7th semester (4th year) at COA for RAWE and Experiential Learning programme There is also a provision for the meritorious students to spend their 8th semester abroad at VHL, Netherlands for undertaking a project. Under this agreement COA will also help Faculty of Agriculture of PDMU in designing the curriculum for the courses in which COA has significant expertise and will also guide faculty members in innovative pedagogical practices.
Expressing happiness on this MOA, Mr. Chitresh Lather, CEO of the PDMU said that this agreement will help in producing a cadre of highly competent human resources in the field of Agriculture which is the need of the hour.
